Getting so BIG!

Gina mentioned the other day that soon we will have to hire a personal trainer for Ellie. She is definitely our athletic girl. She has will and determination like no other child I have ever seen.

OH BOY what do we have in store with this one? :)

Asher is offically potty trained and doing great. He likes being a big boy and bragging that he no longer wears diapers.

Slackers!

Howdy Y'all!

Well Asher is about to graduate from High School and Ellie is getting her driver's license...

No, not yet. But it has been quite a while since we've done anything with this site. So here it is. At 6+months, Ms. Ellie is crawling and pulls herself up on everything. I spend most of my time braced to break her fall or save her face from hitting anything too painful. Master Asher is on day 9 of potty training, and doing wonderfully. Kristina is fabulous and taking on new responsibilities at her job. She is very excited. I am learning everyday about motherhood and am thankful that I have this opportunity to stay home and be with the kids.

I hope to try and post more often. I'm sure as I become more adept they will be longer or at least have more pictures.

Ellie Rae is here!!!

Yeah! Yippeee! Hoorah!
Ellie Rae Seracen was born, Friday, June 22 at 2:56 PM. I began labor the night of the 21st around 10:30 and had mild to moderate contractions all night long. By 10:00 the next morning when I went to see my doctor I was already 5cm dialated and the checked me into the hospital. A mere 3 hours later I was 9cm and ready to go...Only one problem, Granny and Grandma had not yet arrived! They were stuck on the freeway that had been shut down due to an accident. With a little creative driving and poor instructions from an officer "Go right, then left and left again," Granny made her way to the hospital. 2 hours later, give or take, Ellie Rae was born in the presence of Kristina, Granny (Connie) and Grandma (Ginger).

I was certain that after 14 hours of unmedicated labor that I was yelling and screaming loud enough to give the mothers next door a fright, but they tell me I only swore one time, and yelled encouraging things like "Come on baby!" Ellie's shoulders got stuck half way through and our friend and doctor, Dr. Shows will be credited with any exceptional height Ellie may have later in life due to the excessive stretching of Ellie's neck!

I am recovering well. A little sore, obviously. Asher now thinks to become a big brother means to be showered in presents. He's gotten quite a loot! He is adjusting well and gives Ellie pats on the head and kisses. He is even comfortable enough to drive his toy car on her!

Grandma is here helping out, or rather staring out. She can't seem to keep her eyes off of her and has great dificulty putting her down!

Kristina is wonderful. She has the lion's share of taking care of Asher while I recover and has been a wonderful friend, partner and mother. I couldn't ask for anyone better.

Time keeps on ticking...ticking...

Well the waiting game has really started now. Gina is READY, if only we could convince Ellie to be ready too.

Contractions come and go; but nothing long enough to signal REAL labor.

If Madam Ellie does not make her way into the world by Thursday, June 28, 2007 we will induce that morning. Again, I ask that you keep Gina in your thoughts and hope for a fast labor.

Asher continues to get excited and is over the initial shock of the other car seat and new girlie things in his old room. Any of you who know Asher already understand what a great big brother he will be to Ellie. We are all very excited!!!

Hopefully the next bit of news will come with measurements and photos.
